SEPAM is a research center operating under the roof of Antalya Bilim University.  SEPAM’s mission is to research and study various social, economic and political issues that emerge at national and international levels from an interdisciplinary perspective; to inform the university and society through these studies and events that will be organised in the future; to contribute to international cooperation and development of information sharing networks by gathering international institutions and organisations, which are working on these issues; to provide sectorial and academic education; and to support international dialogue and cooperation. 

The main areas of activity of the Center are: to organise conferences, symposiums, workshops and seminars at national and international levels on social, economic and political issues; to organise and conduct programmes, technical courses and certificate programmes in social, economic and political fields and vocational training programmes for people who work in different sectors; to cooperate, to organise common activities, research and practice projects, to procure funds for the projects, to implement or to assure the implementation of the projects with national and international, public or private organisations and institutions, which are of interest to those people, in accordance with the mission of the Centre; to form a library and an archive that is suitable for doing research in social, economic and political fields at national and international levels; to set up an international electronic communication network; to produce periodical and non-periodical publications of the Centre; to encourage academics as well as graduate student of ABU to conduct research on social, economic and political areas at national and international levels; to follow social, economic and social developments, which emerge at national and international levels that impact Turkey and its neighbourhood closely and to inform those who are interested in particular and the public in general by doing thorough analyses on these issues.
