This enthusiasm is visible on increased foreign policy activism, military investments and trade volume especially with its surrounding regions. Meanwhile, Turkey’s ambitions also include a soft power dimension, operationalized as a combination of culture, political values and foreign policy. The governments’ investment on diplomatic connections is one of the indicators of this quest for power, materialized on increased number of diplomatic missions abroad. This short paper aims to bring a new interpretation from a Social Network Analysis perspective and to measure the status of Turkey by using tools provided by this new paradigm.
